Children’s Services usually take place on the first Shabbat morning of every calendar month at 11:00am.
The Kikar Kids Services for 5s and under is a friendly and fun service for our pre-schoolers, led by parents. The children sing and dance their way through a Friday night meal and the Shabbat morning service, with a little education thrown in. Each month we have a special theme. The service takes place in the Synagogue Creche. We are also delighted to have the fabulous Ilana Banana leading some services.
The Kikar kids Junior Shabbat Service for children aged 5 and over takes place in the Synagogue Library and is led by our Head of Cheder and Youth, Caroline Loison. The service combines songs and storytelling with several aspects of the Belsize Square Synagogue main Shabbat morning service. The aim is for children to begin to learn the prayers and the tunes, as well as learning about various Shabbat customs and traditions.
The services are followed by a Kids’ Kiddush after which the children join the Main service and are welcomed on to the Bimah to sing Anim Zemirot followed by Adon Olam.
We are always looking for new families to join us on a Saturday morning and you will be assured a warm welcome so please do come and find us in the Creche or in the Library.
