Belsize Square Synagogue covers around 65% of our running costs through annual subscriptions, grants and rental income from our tenants.
To cover the shortfall generated by our wide range of activities and services, we rely on the unstinting generosity of our members, whether by joining the ‘Hundred club’ with the annual membership fee, contributing at fundraising events such as our Auction of Promises or annual Chanukah market, purchasing commemorative leaves on our Tree of Life or donating to mark lifecycle events, special occasions or ‘just because’.
The Synagogue is always immensely grateful for all donations – and if you would like to help please either contact the Synagogue office or click here.
Historically we have been extremely fortunate that many members have chosen to remember the Synagogue in their Will. We never budget for legacies but hope that members will continue this tax efficient way of supporting the Synagogue.
Remember Belsize Square Synagogue in your Will and help to secure the future of your community.
Belsize Square Synagogue was born out of a small community of Jews who escaped from Nazi Germany. Our Synagogue in North West London is more than a place of worship. We are a community that cares deeply about our members and their families.
Although the Community continues to grow and attract new members, we cannot flourish on membership fees alone.
We depend on the generosity of you, our members, to provide the inspiring religious services, a wide variety of education for adults and children, social events, burials and pastoral care for all members of our community and also to preserve our unique musical heritage.
Making a will is not difficult. But it is vitally important that it is done in the correct way with the advice of a solicitor or Will writer.
We are, of course, extremely grateful for any donation you wish to make in your lifetime. However, by remembering us in your Will, you can help to secure the future of your ‘Belsize Square Family’ for years to come.
Any gift, large or small, will make a difference.
If you need any help or more information, please contact Lee Taylor in the synagogue office. We can put you in touch with a solicitor who can guide you in making a Will that meets your wishes and that includes a gift to Belsize Square Synagogue in your legacy.
The Chairman, Treasurer or any of the Honorary Officers will be happy to discuss all options with you in complete confidence, and with no obligation.
